Katie spoke with students about her pathway from Midd to Microsoft as a SWE within the Azure Cloud team. She shared a number of insights gained from her experience in the internship/job search and application/interview process, including:
  • the importance of a project portfolio,
  • practicing interviews (especially technical interviews),
  • attending tech conferences with career fair components,
  • reaching out to and speaking with alums in the Technology Career Community (TCC), and
  • staying abreast of developments in the tech sector (especially the segments in which you have career interests) as ways to elevate the quality of your application efforts.
