Are you a community member or organization who wants to collaborate with members of the Middlebury College campus to make a difference in the community? Connect with us!

The Center for Community Engagement builds and maintains strong community partnerships that create opportunities for student learning and engagement, while furthering the work and objectives of the community organizations with which we collaborate.

What We Do

CCE staff support community organizations in finding opportunities to collaborate with Middlebury College staff, students, and faculty members to meet organizational needs and goals. Partnerships are mutually beneficial, providing a service to the community organization while cultivating a learning environment for students.

We provide a variety of ways to engage with students and faculty, depending on the capacity and goals of the organization:

  • One-time volunteer opportunities, typically occurring in large groups
  • Ongoing partnerships with students
  • Academic connections with a course or research project
  • Internships, employment, or work study

Explore our resources here to learn more about ways to collaborate and find the right fit for your organization! Visit the Community Partner Spotlight page to learn more about some of our partners and their experiences working with students through the CCE!
