Hi! My name is Omar, and I’m from Chicago. On campus, I’m the Community Service Chair at Tavern (Omega Alpha). I’m passionate about connecting with different communities and talking about the future of architecture and how it connects to the environment. Hi! My name is Joseph, and I’m from Uganda. On campus, I serve as treasurer of the Newman Club and row with the crew team. I’m passionate about closing the access gap in the healthcare system, a cause that drives much of my work and interests. Outside of that, I love to read and play chess. Hi, my name is Ava Pihlstrom! I’m from Minneapolis, Minnesota. On campus, I am a part of Riddim World Dance Troupe, the Student Investment Committee, and Community Friends. Outside of that, I coach alpine ski racing for the Middlebury Ski Club, play pickleball, and enjoy needlepointing. Hi! My name is Zachary Shammash, and I’m from Tenafly, New Jersey. On campus, I am a part of Chess Club and RISE. Outside of clubs, I’m a Tour Guide and an On-Campus Ambassador for Trivium Venture Network. My career interests lie in early-stage investing, and I’m also an avid ultramarathon runner!

Hi! My name is Joaquín, and I’m an international student from Argentina. At Middlebury, I’m involved with the International Students Organization, the Men’s Rugby Club, and the Middlebury Consulting Group. I’m passionate about building connections across cultures and communities, something I first learned while living and studying in India, and continue to explore here at Middlebury. Outside of academics, I love cooking, going to the gym, traveling, and exploring new ideas with friends.

I grew up in San Francisco, NYC, and Los Angeles, where I attended French schools and completed the IB diploma programme. Beyond academics, I founded IBFilmFest, a film festival dedicated to IB Film students around the world, and I train and lead volunteers during disaster relief deployments (mudslides/wildfires) for a crisis response organization in Santa Barbara. At Middlebury, I write for The Campus, play intramural basketball, and from time to time DJ at parties. I love playing basketball and tennis, skiing, making short films, and cooking. Hi, my name is Sailor Kabeary and I am from Durango, Colorado. On campus, I am a co-lead of the Middlebury Mischords A capella group and a part of various musical groups with friends. Besides all things music, I love being outside whether that’s skiing, hiking, or just exploring beautiful Middlebury and the surrounding area.
