Code of Conduct Agreement Required: Middlebury students must review and agree to the Career Center Code of Conduct before applying for this internship. The code establishes expectations for professional and ethical conduct throughout the recruiting process, including honest self-representation, responsible interview practices, and honoring accepted internship offers. These standards outline job search best practices and help maintain Middlebury’s strong relationships with employers.

Soccer Without Borders (SWB) uses the global game of soccer as a vehicle for positive change, supporting underserved youth through education, community-building, and sport. Our programs operate in the U.S. and internationally, providing a safe and inclusive space for refugee and immigrant youth to grow both on and off the field. Through team-based activities, language support, and mentorship, SWB fosters personal development, academic achievement, and social integration.

What you could do:
As a Data Input Intern, you will play a key role in supporting input of historic attendance data that helps track participant and program impact over time. Your responsibilities would be locating and entering data accurately. This position is ideal for someone interested in data science, social impact, or nonprofit management. Looking for interns with skills in Excel or Google Sheets, and a passion for youth development, sports, and cross-cultural engagement.

Logistics:

This internship has the possibility of being entirely remote. The first 3 one-hour engagements will be in person or virtual and will include:

1. An SWB presentation and Q&A

2. The project and the importance of the project + Q&A

3. Orientation to the data, the platforms, and the tasks.

In the first week, after these presentations, you will be required to join our SWB intern Slack channel, complete a task, and share it with me for feedback.

In the final three weeks, you will work independently on tasks with virtual check-ins over Slack.

Course Credit
The selected intern may apply to earn academic credit through Middlebury’s Winter Term Internship for Credit process. Details and application instructions are available at go/winterinternship.
